COVID-19: Does the Dimond Have “Slow Streets?”

The City of Oakland has designated certain street segments around the city as “Slow Streets,” stretches where vehicular traffic is limited to emergency and delivery vehicles, and those with destinations within a segment. Generally these segments are also current or planned bikeways. Ultimately, the city will identify some 74 miles of Slow Streets.

As of May 8, a stretch in the Dimond and Laurel districts was added to the list. It runs from Lyman Rd. to Buell St. along Tiffin Rd., Potomac St., Laguna Ave., Carmel St., Coolidge Ave., Morgan Ave., Maple Ave., Wisconsin St., Patterson Ave., Bayo St., Steele St.
