Panelists include EBMUD Ward 3 Director Marguerite Young, Clifford Chan from EBMUD, Annabelle Rosser from the Public Policy Institute of California, and Dr. Erica Siirila-Woodburn from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

April 27th, 2021 - Community Safety

We heard from city staff and neighborhood leaders about ways we can improve public safety in our neighborhoods via involvement in Neighborhood Watch and in our local Neighborhood Council. Additionally, we recognized local neighborhood volunteers who have found ways to go above and beyond in improving our community during the past year, and formally electing DIA board members to serve as board members for the next fiscal year.

Listen to the DIA’s online community forum that provides an overview of how the City of Oakland’s city budget is formed, the current opportunities and challenges with the City’s budget, and the overall outlook for state and local government funding.
