Would you like to help build a vibrant and thriving Dimond District? Are you concerned about neighborhood upkeep, beautification, public safety, economic development, or community engagement? DIA needs you! We’re looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals to join our Board of Directors beginning in April 2026.
All backgrounds and skills are welcome, and previous experience is not required—time, energy, and community spirit are the most important. That said, we know our effectiveness would be enhanced by adding more hands-on project management, web and database upkeep, fundraising, member/volunteer recruitment, administration, and handyman and gardening talent.
Learn more about the DIA, see our current board, and send an email to nominations@dimondnews.org if you’d like to explore joining the board*. The board meets the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Dimond Library (upstairs) or on-line via Zoom. Our next meeting is March 12, 2026, at the library. You’re welcome to come and see what we do!
*or you might like to consider joining a committee as a non-board member; committees include Beautification, Community Engagement & Volunteer Outreach, Economic & Business Development, Oaktoberfest, and Public Safety.
